MBAC Fertilizer, an integrated producer of phosphate and potash fertilisers in the Brazilian and Latin American markets, has appointed Rodrigo Pinto, chartered accountant (CA) as vice president, finance and chief financial officer (CFO). Pinto has served as the interim CFO since June 2012.
Pinto has been with the company since October 2009 as corporate controller. He is a CA, a certified public accountant (CPA) in the US, and also holds the equivalent of a CPA designation in Brazil. He brings a wealth of knowledge in mining accounting and finance, having spent 15 years in accounting, auditing, consulting and finance roles with major companies including PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Yamana Gold and TD Bank.
