Cloud Peak Energy, a large US coal producer, has hired Girish Hemrajani as vice president and treasurer. He will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s treasury function, including corporate finance, cash management and treasury operations.
Hemrajani has over 20 years’ experience in treasury, finance and accounting and was most recently vice president and treasurer at ION Geophysical, a global seismic solutions company based in Houston. He has extensive international experience, including Asian joint venture structuring and acquisitions and has worked for public corporations in the energy, manufacturing and consumer products industries.
Hemrajani received his MBA from William E Simon Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Rochester in Rochester, NY and is a chartered accountant from India. Additionally, he received both his Master of Commerce and Bachelor of Commerce in India.
