HSBC and HKTDC Collaborate to Help Companies Go Global

HSBC and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) are collaborating to connect companies from Hong Kong and overseas to international business opportunities. The collaboration covers three areas:

  1. Enriching global market intelligence through the ‘International Markets’ webpage on
  2. Supporting HKTDC trade missions to facilitate international business development.
  3. Having HSBC’s presence at select international trade fairs throughout the year to provide advice to visiting companies.

Albert Chan, HSBC’s head of commercial banking Hong Kong, said: “HSBC and HKTDC share a common goal – to support companies as they trade and grow internationally. Our primary focus is to connect customers to opportunities, both in Hong Kong and overseas. This collaboration will enable HSBC to reach out to a large community of companies who are looking for expert advice and information on conducting business abroad. Over the past two years, we saw double-digit growth in our number of international customers, which currently account for almost a third of our business customers. With more than 145 years experience in supporting businesses as they trade across the region, we can draw from our extensive expertise and international network to help companies achieve their global ambitions.”
