RingCentral, a provider of cloud business phone systems, has appointed Robert Lawson as chief financial officer (CFO) and senior vice president (SVP). Lawson will lead corporate finance, accounting and investor relations and will report to RingCentral founder, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) Vlad Shmunis.
Lawson brings more than 20 years of financial strategy and leadership experience to RingCentral. Most recently, he served as CFO of Codexis, one of the first biofuel companies to go public. Prior to Codexis, Lawson held a number of corporate and business finance roles with Intuit. Prior to Intuit, he served for 15 years in various financial management roles at General Electric. Lawson holds a BSc in Business from Iowa State University.
