US Bank has promoted Alan Gibson, senior European officer for US Bank Corporate Payment Systems, to the position of manager of emerging markets for the business. Gibson remains as the senior European officer for US Bank Corporate Payment Systems managing European corporate card and freight payment sales, but in addition he will be responsible for developing sales strategies in emerging markets across the world.
A former director of commercial cards for Tsys Europe, Gibson joined US Bank in July 2010 as director of European commercial payments. In that post, he oversaw the 2011 launch of US Bank’s European corporate card, issued through Elavon Financial Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of US Bank parent company US Bancorp.
