HSBC Merchant Services has selected Realex Payments as its payment gateway partner. The six-year deal involves Realex Payments providing a fully managed gateway solution to HSBC Merchant Services new and existing client base.
The new offering, named Global Iris, involves three elements:
- The provision of a fully branded gateway for existing and new online and call centre businesses.
- The provision of dedicated corporate and SME sales support resources for HSBC Merchant Services teams.
- The provision of a dedicated customer support function.
Colm Lyon, chief executive officer (CEO) and founder of Realex Payments, said: “To be selected as the payment gateway partner by HSBC Merchant Services represents a significant milestone for Realex Payments. This deal doesn’t just involve white labelling our product, but it is instead a deep partnership which sees us build a team dedicated to providing HSBC Merchant Services clients with the customer service that makes us different.”
A report by broking group Marsh examines the repercussions from the administration of the South Korean company, which filed for bankruptcy protection at the end of August.
