MF Global Holdings (MF) has appointed Vinay Mahajan as global treasurer. Mahajan will assume responsibility for executing the firm’s global capital markets strategy with respect to financing, capital structure, balance sheet, liquidity, investments and banking relationships.
Mahajan brings to MF Global more than 20 years of treasury and capital markets experience. Most recently, he served as managing director and treasurer at Fortress Investment Group. Prior to that, he held senior treasury and capital markets roles at Citigroup, General Electric Capital Corporation, PepsiCo, and Atlantic Richfield Chemical Company.
