HSBC has appointed Diane Reyes as global head of payments and cash management (PCM), one of the three core businesses within HSBC’s Global Transaction Banking (GTB) platform. Reyes, in a newly created role, will be based in New York and starts in September 2011, reporting to John Coverdale, group general manager and head of GTB.
Reyes has over 30 years of financial services experience and comes from Citi, which she joined in 2000. She ran sales for treasury and trade services, and then became global head of Global Transaction Services (GTS) power, energy, chemicals, metals and mining. Since 2009, she has been global head of payments for GTS. In this role, Reyes was responsible for Citi’s global payments business in over 100 countries.
