Marketo, a provider of revenue performance management solutions, has appointed Fred Ball as chief financial officer (CFO). Ball brings over 20 years of experience in financial operations and corporate finance to Marketo, and will report to chief executive officer (CEO) Phil Fernandez.
Ball most recently served as CFO of Webroot, a provider of internet security services for consumers and businesses. Previously, Ball was CFO of BigBand Networks, leading the company through an initial public offering (IPO) in 2007, and before that he was chief operating officer (COO) of CallTrex. He has also held senior leadership roles at Borland Software, KLA-Tencor and spent 10 years working for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
