Xata Corporation, which provides automated fleet management software solutions to the trucking industry, has named Scott Christian as chief financial officer (CFO). Christian was formerly president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Spanlink Communications, a Minneapolis-based Cisco partner focused on designing, implementing and supporting contact centre and customer collaboration solutions.
Christian’s prior experience includes serving as president and CEO of Norstan, an independent communications solutions and services company serving enterprise customers in North America. He also served as senior vice president (SVP) of finance of Ceridian Corporation and as CFO of Automatic Data Processing’s electronic services division. He also serves on the board of Cyro-Cell International, one of the largest stem cell preservation companies in the US. Christian holds a BA degree from the University of Dayton, and a Master’s degree from Pepperdine University.
