Nordea, a Nordic financial group, will use Tieto’s solution, ProSwitch, as its future SWIFT messaging hub. Based upon its history of several mergers and acquisitions, Nordea has several SWIFT solutions supporting different countries and geographies. The bank needed a common and central SWIFT messaging hub that could interface a range of internal systems and be used for all SWIFT integration, including FIN MT and MX messaging with the SWIFTNet services.
Mats Wikström, director transaction banking at Tieto, said: “Tieto is very pleased to be chosen by Nordea as their partner and solution provider. SWIFT Messaging is a very strategic business area for Tieto, and the agreement confirms Tieto’s position as a leading provider of SWIFT integration solutions to large financial institutions.”
