Vocollect, a provider of voice-centric solutions for mobile workers, has hired Steven Barto as chief financial officer (CFO). Barto joins from BPL Global, a smart grid technology company dedicated to leading the transformation of energy efficiency and reliability, where he served for four years as CFO. In this capacity, he helped to define and execute the company’s business model, to expand international operations and to provide oversight to build the company from pre-revenue stage to a high growth technology leader.
His career spans 25 years of progressive levels of responsibility in executive financial positions, including vice president, finance and business operations with Ericsson Inc Data Networks, CFO with Marconi Communications North America and vice president, controller with RelTec Corporation. The first 10 years of his career were with Price Waterhouse, where he last served as a senior manager.
