Cereplast, a manufacturer of proprietary bio-based, sustainable plastics, has promoted Heather Sheehan to senior vice president (SVP) and chief financial officer (CFO). Sheehan is a seasoned finance executive with over 20 years of financial leadership in public companies and ‘Big Four’ accounting firms.
Sheehan joined Cereplast in 2008 and has served in increasingly important roles, most recently as SVP and chief accounting officer (CAO). Prior to joining Cereplast, she served as CFO of Exemplis and held various senior international treasury, corporate finance, and accounting roles at ConAgra, International Rectifier, and Trans Mountain Pipe Line.
Sheehan began her career in the audit practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Canada and the UK. Sheehan, who holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Simon Fraser University, is a chartered accountant (Canada) and a certified public accountant (CPA).
