Marketron, a provider of management solutions for the media industry, has hired Tom Whipple as chief financial officer (CFO). In this role, he will lead Marketron’s finance, administrative and information technology organisations.
Whipple brings to Marketron over 30 years of experience in finance and general management. Prior to joining Marketron, he served as president of John Crane Production Solutions, a division of Smiths Group and manufacturer of products and services serving the upstream oil and gas industry. Prior to this position, Whipple served as vice president of finance for Smiths Group, a global technology company and leader in the practical application of advanced technologies. Throughout his career, Whipple has led companies through record growth and profits and managed 10 acquisitions and multiple divestitures.
