Clear Channel Communications, a global media and entertainment company, has hired Tom Casey as chief financial officer (CFO) and executive vice president (EVP). Casey will oversee the company’s financial activities and will report to Mark Mays, president and chief executive officer (CEO). He assumes the position from Randall Mays, who will become vice chairman of Clear Channel.
Casey joins from Washington Mutual (WaMu), where he was EVP and CFO. During his six-year tenure at WaMu, Casey transformed finance from a reporting and control function to a strategic business partner. Prior to WaMu, Casey served as a vice president of GE and senior vice president (SVP) and CFO of GE Financial, where he developed a combination of strong financial, operational and strategic expertise. Casey began his career with Coopers & Lybrand.
