SafeNet, an information security company, now affiliated under common management with Aladdin Knowledge Systems, has appointed Charles Neral as senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO).
Previously, Neral served as the vice president of finance for IBM’s US$22bn software business. In this role, he was responsible for global financial planning, analysis, business controls and business development and helped lead significant organic and acquisitive growth for IBM.
Prior to this, Neral served in a variety of positions across IBM’s sales, server and global services organisations, including executive roles in Asia-Pacific and IBM corporate headquarters.
Neral holds an MBA in Finance from New York University, as well as a BSc degree in Computer Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
