WideOrbit, a provider of business management software for media companies, has hired Margaret McCarthy as chief financial officer (CFO). As part of the WideOrbit executive leadership team, she will be responsible for driving all financial and administrative functions.
McCarthy brings to WideOrbit over 20 years of experience in finance, mergers and acquisitions with high tech companies. Most recently, she was CFO at Red Condor, an anti-spam and anti-virus products and services firm. Prior to this, she served as chief operating officer (COO)/CFO at Atom Entertainment, which was acquired by Viacom in 2006. In addition, McCarthy has held financial leadership positions at Macromedia, Cadence Design Systems, Hewlett-Packard and Deloitte & Touche.
