Banque Cantonale de Fribourg (BCF), the state bank of the Swiss canton of Fribourg, has selected SunGard’s Ambit Mint, part of the Ambit Messaging solution suite. The solution gives BCF connectivity to a number of financial networks, including SWIFT, SIC, euroSIC and SECOM, helping the bank to improve operational efficiency, manage risk and reduce costs.
SunGard’s Ambit Messaging is a global solution that is able to handle SWIFTNet services as well as traditional SWIFT FIN and SIC/Secom Swiss local market clearing connectivity. It also includes versions of the ISO 20022 and ISO 15022 data dictionaries for MT-MX message coexistence.
Christian Meixenberger, director, service centre for BCF, said: “Our experience with SunGard’s Ambit MINT and the strong trust we have developed with SunGard have led us to expand our relationship with SunGard. Ambit MINT provides BCF with an integrated multi-network solution, which we believe can help us to significantly improve our operational efficiency.”
