BNP Paribas (BNPP), Dublin, has gone live on the FRS FinancialAnalytics and DataFoundation platform as part of a project to centralise the production of local regulatory reporting across BNPP’s EU operations. Once the project is complete, BNPP hopes to be able to automate the collation of the information needed for regulatory reporting purposes across offices, countries and lines of business into a standard model. Additionally, the bank’s corporate and investment banking branch is to use Caplin Trader to provide the internet distribution layer and Web front-end for a new multi-product trading system. The solution will be used to create a Rich Internet Application, which should enable BNPP to offer online best price and core trading functionality. The Ajax front-end is designed to make it easier for an end user to create a trading screen just using ‘drag and drop’.
