Reval has released version 5.0 of HedgeRx in its second major release of 2005 and 19th since going live. Some of the new functionality includes a financial futures module, enhancements to its commodities and general ledger module and a new statistical analysis package for analyzing hedging strategies. The new financial futures module was a direct result of demand by Reval’s financial institution clients who tend to hedge or trade with futures that require less capital, take up less credit exposure and have more liquidity than OTC derivatives. “HedgeRx is in the unique position of being a single solution that can be offered off-the-shelf to many different sectors ranging from corporate treasury, to commodity users and to banks” says Jiro Okochi, CEO & Co-Founder of Reval.
