One of the key findings of a recent KPMG survey is that there is a limited number of vendors supplying IFRS/Basel II solutions. The survey identified FRS, a division of S1 Corporation, and its FinancialAnalytics offering as a preferred IFRS/Basel II solution. The 14th Annual Banking System Survey (conducted in the fourth quarter of 2004) addresses topical information technology issues for financial institutions. KPMG questioned financial institutions on the current status of their IFRS compliance projects, their selected approach for calculating capital requirements and on the solutions identified to meet IFRS and Basel II requirements. The content of the report is based on data compiled from questionnaires completed by around 130 firms in Belgium and Luxembourg.
