SimCorp is to employ STP Metrics Benchmarking service – an element of the firm’s FSmetrics service suite. According to Simcorp, there is growing interest among investment managers in the concept of an objective, quantitative measure of their relative success in achieving straight-through processing (STP) for transaction processing. Graeme Austin, managing director of STP Metrics, said the tool enabled investment management companies ‘to identify specific process steps where external parties, such as brokers or custodians, could do more to improve their service offerings.’
