The Royal National Institute of the Blind (RNIB) has overhauled its Direct Debits (DDs) and now excepts phone and emailed DDs, following the implementation of Eiger Systems’ BANK WIZARD solution. Over the coming months RNIB is hoping to quadruple the number of committed donors using Direct Debit to support the charity. In August 2003, RNIB began to encourage supporters to give donations by Direct Debit, believing this payment method would reduce the amount of time spent administering donations and the costs associated with this, Following the implementation of Eiger’s software, the speed of verifying bank account details has improved, the error rate has reduced and BANK WIZARD has supported RNIB in their migration to AUDDIS – the Automated Direct Debit Instruction Service, according to Eiger.
