SunGard Upgrades Exception Processing Platform

SunGard eProcess Intelligence is to upgrade its STeP (straight-through exception processing) platform. SunGard will integrate intelliMATCH, its automated reconciliation solution, into the STeP platform to create a comprehensive enterprise edition solution for transaction event management. SunGard’s STeP platform, which is based on Microsoft’s .Net, is a next generation, multi-tier solution that is already in production for exception processing and Web customer service. The platform provides a set of services that leverage SunGard’s core competencies in exception processing, transaction research, cash management, and reconciliation. Separately, the company has launched SunGard MessageHub, a connectivity service utilizing SunGard Business Integration’s MINT messaging solutions. MessageHub will offer corporate treasurers, hedge funds, insurance companies and other SunGard clients the ability to leverage SWIFT connectivity and messaging.
