METAspectrum evaluation provides an objective assessment of companies offering Enhanced File Transfer (EFT) systems, which are used by organizations to move and transfer data throughout the enterprise. The transfer can be from server to server or from server to client, either within the LAN or across the WAN or Internet. The products evaluated have enhancements over the free, standard FTP protocol, including security, guaranteed delivery, management tools, and audit functions. These products are traditionally used as an enterprise-wide information delivery mechanism, to update systems ranging from financial applications to data warehouses.
