Charles Carlson has been appointed Global Head of the Standard Chartered’s Structured Export Finance and Forfaiting (SEFF) group. Charles joined Standard Chartered to become Head of SEFF, Americas, following the Bank’s acquisition of CIBC’s structured trade finance business in 2000. During his 20-year career, he has structured and closed a number of large Export Credit Agency (ECA) transactions to governments and corporations around the world. Based in New York, Charles reports to V Shankar, Global Head of Corporate Advisory. Rodney Ballard has been appointed Head of SEFF, UK and Europe, moving from his role as Head of SEFF, Asia. He has had extensive experience in working with major ECAs and in creating optimal structures and financial packages.
