CyberSource has enhanced its transaction processing infrastructure with the industry’s most advanced asymmetric encryption standards. With the recent security enhancements, CyberSource customers realise a cryptographic performance increase, reducing average transaction times by nearly 50 percent and raising payment processing capacity by more than 40 percent. The CyberSource system utilises a private key, known only by the merchant, with over 1,024 bits of data used to authenticate each transaction, making it virtually impossible to penetrate.
