Mark Sutherland, who previously led a team of corporate finance and securities lawyers at one of Hong Kong’s top city-based law firms, joins Sidley Austin Brown & Wood on February 4, 2002 as a Consultant. Qualified in England & Wales and Hong Kong, Mr. Sutherland’s main areas of practice cover corporate finance and equity capital markets in Hong Kong, Asia and Europe, as well as structured finance and securitisations, trustee advisory and debt capital markets transactions. Since qualification, he has worked on over 100 public transactions and has represented underwriters and issuers in connection with the structuring, negotiating and documenting of offerings of international and Hong Kong equity and debt securities.
