Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown today announced that Carl A. Mayer, III is joining the firm as a Managing Director in High Yield Capital Markets. He will be based in New York and report to Richard Byrne, Global Head of High Yield Capital Markets. Mayer, 37, has over a decade of experience in the high yield/leveraged finance arena. He joins Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown from Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. where he was most recently a Managing Director in High Yield Capital Markets. Prior to Bear, Stearns, he was a Senior Vice President in the Corporate Finance Group at General Electric Capital Corporation, where focused on providing financing for leveraged buyouts, acquisitions and recapitalizations. Mayer received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1986, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Florida State University in 1984.
