Users initiate a buyback by accessing the ‘Buyback Trade Modification’ in the ATOM Commercial Paper Trade Manager. The buyback trade details, which are displayed on-screen, are generated based on the current day’s discount rates retrieved from the ATOM Rate Control Manager. Users have the option to manually attach a spread as part of the ‘all-in’ discounted bid rate. Prepayment calculations such as the discount rate, proceeds and payoff are then derived from the buyback trade attributes.
